Twisted thoughts, pouring out of my ears.

I have a theory:
It's obvious by today's society, politics, economy, even life in general, that our governments and world leaders keep many things secret, unknown to the citizens that they claim to represent. So many things about our world and our universe are so vaguely explained to us, that we really have no concept of their true nature. The way our society is arranged, we generally aren't confronted with the truth of what is going on. In our houses, in our minds, on our earth; it involves everything. We know what the media chooses to tell us. I'd like to know, who sits around all day going "Oh yeah, let's just chalk that one up as another thing they're allowed to know"? Allowed is such a foul word. Who should be in charge of what we're allowed to know, what we believe and think and do. It goes down to the core of every human being... our free will. We must consider this- how free ha our will become? Can we really call ourselves free people when everything we do is monitored, censored, judged, and edited?

Flip it around, and think about it from another angle. If everyone was privy to all of the information we have never been told, how would our society function? the thought of it sounds like sheer madness. The result would more than likely be a meltdown of everything we know, as we know it. The possibilities for the things that we don't know are infinite. Locating and contacting alien life, discovering the history of our earth and the universe surrounding it. Understanding fully the miracle of the human body. To know the answers to all the unsolved, unexplained court cases throughout history, seeing files that have been locked away since the day they were created. The cures to every disease, as well as the location of every nuclear weapon and their access codes. At this point, it's clear why our government officials hide vital information from public eyes. We may not be capable of handling the reality of our role in everything that is ever to be.

I've been doing a lot of thinking.
I think I might like to know some of these forbidden things.
May I go insane, it's a risk I must be willing to take.
One day I will understand the situation at hand.
